Are you ready for a getaway? Well, you don’t have to leave your home to finally get the vacation you need. You can bring new adventures home with the ultimate staycation. Today, we’re going On-Holiday-At-Home to the intriguing land of the outback — Australia. So whether you call Australia home or it’s been on your list for years, here’s a roundup of what to eat, do and watch to bring the land down undah to the comfort of your own home.

We will start with a brief background on our destination. Australia is unique in that it is both a country and a continent. It’s located south of Asia, between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. Indigenous Australians have lived on the land for more than 65,000 years. Later Europeans arrived in the 1600s and 1700s. Famously, Australia was used as a penal colony by the British to house criminals.

Get Up Close With Wildlife

Australia is known for having a mega-diverse ecosystem. When you think of Australia you may think of its unique wildlife. Kangaroos and koalas, wallabies and wombats, penguins and platypi. To bring Australia home, you can get up close and personal with these cuties via live animal cams.
