Being inside your house doesn’t have to suck. In fact, with a little imagination and my help, it can be quite the opposite. While you can’t go on a traditional vacation right now, you can still bring new adventures home with the ultimate staycation. Today, we’re going On-Holiday-At-Home to the beautiful country of Mexico. So whether you call Nashville home or it’s been on your list for years, here’s a roundup of what to eat, do and watch to bring Nashville to the comfort of your own home.

Immerse Yourself in Country Music

I don’t think we could talk about Nashville without talking about country music. It’s the country music capital of the world and the city that helped but the music famous. Country music originated in rural parts of the South and the West. It started with folk music from Appalachian musicians. They would tell stories about their lives over fiddle, guitar and banjo playing. This evolved as it moved from rural towns to cities. There it mixed with other genres like jazz, blues and bluegrass.

The perfect place to start your trip is with a selection of music from the city’s greatest voices. Greats like Patsy Cline, Bill Anderson, Dolly Parton and Minnie Pearl. And current stars like Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Trace Adkins.
